Woman Behind Bars After Being Nabbed With Fake CT License At Bank
A Westchester woman was caught in the act by Chase Bank personnel attempting to obtain a temporary ATM card using another person’s account and a Connecticut driver’s license, police said. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the Chase Bank branch on Lee Avenue shortly after 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, where there was a reported identity theft in progress, prompting an investigation. President Trump's son, Donald Jr., questioned the content and timing of a letter that impugns his father's U.S. Supreme Court nominee. Brookfield Resident Faces DUI Charge In NY
With law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continuing their crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among two dozen motorists who found themselves charged with DWI offenses in the area this past week. Local residents charged were: Westchester County On Friday, Sept. 7, State Police from Brewster arrested Michele Drella, 53, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. Dozens of area residents were nabbed for driving while intoxicated by state police during the three-day Labor Day weekend. They include: Westchester Adam J. Heyd, 37, of Somers. Bears, bears, everywhere. Or so it seems. Around noon Friday Yorktown police warned of a bear up a tree which prompted Sonia Gelbart to post photos of another bear (or maybe the same, who knows?) she spotted in her Brewster backyard last week. Another reader said the Yorktown bear had climbed down its tree and was now by Jennifer's Restaurant near Route 118. Northern Westchester Couple ID'd In Medical Center Murder-Suicide
The two people who died in a murder-suicide incident at Westchester Medical Center on Wednesday morning have been identified as a married couple from Yorktown. They are Richard DeLucia, 71, and his wife, Ann DeLucia, 70, who was a patient at the hospital, according to Kieran O'Leary, public information officer for the Westchester County Police Department. Richard DeLucia shot his wife in her hospital room and then shot himself, O'Leary said. Each died of a single gunshot wound.
