Undercover Tobacco Check Nets Five Violations In Stratford Five Stratford businesses were fined after allegedly selling tobacco products to an underage decoy during an enforcement check. The enforcement on Wednesday, May 1, was conducted by the Stratford Police, along with members from the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program, said Stratford Police Capt. Wanted Stratford Man Nabbed During Warrant Search A 24-year-old man was arrested following a warrant search of his Stratford home. Travis Walton, of Stratford, was arrested on Tuesday, May 7, following a narcotics search warrant execution at 15 Woodend Road, said Stratford Police Captain Frank Eannotti. Walton is a fugitive who has avoided sentencing for approximately 3 years for weapons and domestic violence offenses, said Eannotti. Know This Car? Suspect At Large After 16-Year-Old Shot While Playing Basketball Police are searching for a vehicle involved in the shooting of a 16-year-old teen who was shot once while playing basketball. The incident took around 7 p.m. Tuesday on Woodend Road in Stratford when the teen was hit by a bullet in what appears to be a drive-by shooting, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.  The lone shooting victim was shot by someone in what appears to be a silver car, possibly a Honda, with a distinctive black front bumper, Eannotti said.
