Bridgeport Man Charged After 4-Hour Crime Spree Robbing Multiple Women, Sexually Assaulting 1 A Fairfield County man has been charged after allegedly attacking and robbing multiple women over four hours. Cecil Mills, age 35, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 24 after a vehicle pursuit, crash, and foot chase that ended near the intersection of North Avenue and Madison Avenue. According to Det. Detective Jeffrey Holtz of the Bridgeport Police, the victims all report being followed by what turned out to be a stolen Toyota Camry, before being robbed and assaulted.  Mills was charged with sexually assaulting one of the three women he allegedly robbed.…

The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the 1200 block of Park Avenue. Bridgeport Police officers responded to the area after receiving multiple ShotSpotter notifications and reports of numerous people shot, said Capt. Man Found Shot To Death While Driving Vehicle In Fairfield County A man was shot to death while driving his vehicle in Fairfield County. The victim was discovered around 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, when police responded to a report of gunshots fired near 644 Norman Street. Responding officers located a motor vehicle accident in front of 178 Wood Ave., Bridgeport PD Captain Brian Fitzgerald said. The driver of the involved vehicle was unconscious, and officers had to break the window of the vehicle to gain access, Fitzgerald said. The incident took place around 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, when officers attempted to stop a Hyundai Accent bearing a lost or stolen registration plate, said Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras. The incident took place around 10:27 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, when police received a 911 call that the TD Bank at 975 Madison Ave., was being robbed, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. The employee who called 911 was able to provide police with enough information for responding officers to quickly identify a fleeing vehicle as belonging to the alleged robber, police said.
