Danbury Cracks Down On Businesses Selling Alcohol To Minors In an effort to cut down on underage drinking and determine compliance with state law a Fairfield County police force conducted a check of 47 businesses that sell alcohol. On Friday, Aug. 25, Danbury Police officers along with the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control conducted unannounced inspections of the businesses located within the city.  Of the 47 businesses checked, eight sold alcohol to an underage minor, Det. Danbury Home Invasion Suspect Pistol Whips Boy, Police Say A 13-year-old Connecticut boy suffered serious head and face injuries after a man forced his way into a home. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 10:45 a.m., Friday, March 11, at a residence on Wildman Street in Danbury. When police arrived on the scene, the youth told officers that a white man forced his way in after answering his front door, pointed a gun at him, and demanded money, said Det. Lt.
