Popular Walking Trail In Fairfield County Reopens After Deer Attacks On People A popular Fairfield County walking trail has reopened after several walkers were attacked by deer. The incidents in New Canaan took place on the Greenlink Trail associated with the New Canaan Land Trust and were first reported on Thursday, June 9. The first incident took place when two women were walking the trail and came upon an aggressive doe and a yearling, also on the trail who would not move, said New Canaan Police Animal Control Officer Allyson Halm. Alert Issued In CT Following Multiple Attempted Coyote Attacks On Dogs, Owners An alert has been issued by officials in Connecticut following multiple attempted coyote attacks on dogs and their owners. Concerns are being raised in New Haven County after there were multiple attacks reported in the Platt Park/Traditions area of the town on Tuesday, July 20, with one successfully getting after a dog that had to be treated by a veterinarian, according to Southbury Animal Control. Brand-New Sighting: Black Bear Finds Its Own Way To Enjoy Sunday Brunch There have been dozens of reported black bear sightings in the area the last month. Including at a golf course. Even a cemetery. And now, most recently, a bear in the Hudson Valley making its own morning meal with the contents of garbage cans. The bear was captured on camera in the Dutchess County town of Union Vale on Sunday morning, July 26. (See first image above.)
