Two Injured In Car Rollover, Explosion In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — Two people were sent to the hospital with burns after a car rolled over and exploded early Saturday in Danbury, according to fire officials. The Danbury Fire Department A shift companies were dispatched to the area of 167 Long Ridge Road at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a motor vehicle accident with an explosion. Units arrived to find a car totally engulfed in flames. There were two occupants on the scene with burns, and they were taken to the Western Connecticut Health Network ER for treatment. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
