Suspect Apprehended After Police Sergeant Stabbed During 'Unprovoked' Attack In Westchester A police sergeant is recovering at home after being stabbed during an unprovoked attack by a local Westchester County resident who has been apprehended. The attack took place around 1:26 p.m., Thursday, May 20 in Dobbs Ferry. The Dobbs Ferry Police sergeant, whose name has not been released, was assisting Con Edison with a traffic detail on Beacon Hill Drive, said Dobbs Ferry PD Chief Manuel Guevara. The sergeant was able to make an "officer needs assistance" call to the department and report that he had been assaulted by a man wielding "possibly" a knife, according to Guevara. …

ID Released For 24-Year-Old From South Salem Killed In Crash A 24-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash on Route 202 in Northern Westchester. Austin Canady, of South Salem, was killed around 7:39 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, following a crash on Route 202 in the area of Yorkhill Road, said Yorktown Police Lt. John Delulio. According to Delulio, Canady was driving a 2019 Harley Davidson westbound on Route 202 when he collided with a 34-year-old Yorktown Heights driver who was exiting Yorkhill Road in a 2019 Honda Pilot. Canady was transported by ambulance to the Westchester County Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, police said. T…
