Pair Of Structure Fires Under Investigation In Fairfield County A pair of suspicious fires that broke out in Fairfield County buildings within hours of each other are under investigation, authorities announced. In Norwalk, shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, March 14, first responders were dispatched to a vacant commercial building on West Avenue that left debris destroyed and was possibly set by vagrants, according to Norwalk Deputy Fire Chief Steve Shay. Officers responded to the intersection of Post Road and Brookside Road on Wednesday, Dec. 26 around 3 p.m. after hearing a report of a motor vehicle accident. Mark Monroe, 46, who was sentenced at the Stamford courthouse, was also sentenced to 10 years of special patrol after he has served the three years.
