30 Rounds Fired, 3 Wounded, 1 Critically, In Bridgeport Shooting Three people were wounded, one critically during a shooting in Fairfield County on a busy city street. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the 1200 block of Park Avenue. Bridgeport Police officers responded to the area after receiving multiple ShotSpotter notifications and reports of numerous people shot, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police.  When officers arrived, they quickly located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Shots Fired Into Home Kill Pregnant Woman, Injure Man While They Were Sleeping In Bridgeport A sleeping 22-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child were shot and killed inside a Fairfield County home overnight. Gunshots rang out on Washington Terrace in Bridgeport shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, police said. Police said that upon arrival, they found Bridgeport resident Karla Bermudez, who was 23 weeks pregnant, with multiple times.  Her 23-year-old boyfriend was also shot.
