Covid-19: Fairfield County Testing Site Moved A Fairfield County COVID-19 testing site has moved and will be offering tests on a first-come, first-serve basis. The City of Norwalk advises residents that starting on Wednesday, Jan. 12, COVID-19 testing will be relocated from Veteran’s Park to Shady Beach in Norwalk.  Testing will continue to be available seven days per week with no appointment necessary at the new testing location. Testing occurs weekdays from 2 to 7 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gates open one hour before testing is scheduled to begin. Motorists are asked not to arrive any earlier.  Those seeking…

Four Rescued From Capsized Boat In Fairfield County After Clinging To Side For An Hour Four men who were clinging to the side of a capsized boat for more than an hour were rescued by members of a Fairfield County fire department. The incident began to unfold around 9:50 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, in Norwalk. Thousands Expected For Annual Oyster Festival In Norwalk The 42nd annual Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival is expected to draw thousands of visitors for performances, food, and fun. Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot, and Brian Howe will take the night off from performing with Billy Joel to headline the festival. The event, Friday, Sept. 6, Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 is held at Veteran’s Park, adjacent to Norwalk Harbor on Seaview Avenue in Norwalk.
