Troopers Asking For Witnesses To Fiery Fatal Crash Off I-84 Police are asking the public for help identifying a vehicle, and the person who was killed during a fiery crash near I-84. The crash took place around 3 a.m., Thursday, April 4, on the Route 72 ramp to I-84 east in Plainville after the driver drove through the guardrail, struck a bridge abutment and the vehicle caught fire, Connecticut State police said.
