Unsuspecting Americans Dying From Fake Pills With Fentanyl, DEA Says The US Drug Enforcement Administration is alerting the public of a sharp nationwide increase in potentially deadly fake prescription pills laced with fentanyl. DEA laboratory testing revealed that six out of 10 fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills now contain a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl. Anthony Gilchrist, age 32, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 26, to 37 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
