Man Charged In Violent Assaults Of Mother Of His Son In Stamford
An undocumented Haitian man is behind bars for several brutal assaults on his girlfriend after she attempted to break up with him.
Waking Noel, 34, of Seaton Road, Stamford, is being held in lieu of a $100,000 after he was charged with assaulting the mother of his two-year-old child in February, said Sgt. Jennifer Lynch.
"He punched, kicked, hit and seriously injured the woman on two occasions," Lynch said.
The woman, who attempted to break-up with Noel in February, reported the first attack to police on Feb. 22 when he pushed her and took her cellphone, police said.

Man Charged With Repeatedly Raping Girl In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man was charged Wednesday with repeatedly raping a girl from the time she was 6 years old until she was a young woman, according to Bridgeport Police.
Orane Cole, 42, of 3412 Main St., of Bridgeport, was arrested Feb. 22 on a warrant constructed by Det. Walberto Cotto, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
According to the warrant, Cole was charged with aggravated first-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint, and threatening.

Man, 20, Accused of Strangling, Beating Girlfriend In Stamford
A Stamford man who beat, strangled and harassed his girlfriend for months is behind bars following an investigation by the Stamford Police Department.
Brian Gonzalez, 20, of Willowbrook Avenue, was arrested Jan. 30 after the woman managed to escape from Gonzalez and sought help from the Domestic Violence Counseling Center, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jennifer Lynch.

3 Men Arrested In Armed Robberies At Bodegas, Liquor Stores In Danbury
DANBURY, Conn. — Three men have been arrested in a series of armed robberies at several bodegas and liquor stores in Danbury since September, and more arrests are expected, police said Wednesday.
Danbury detectives identified the three suspects, who are believed to have been involved in most, if not all, of these reported crimes. Detectives interviewed victims and witnesses and collected evidence.
