A Fairfield County man already convicted of driving drunk in Northern Westchester is now facing a felony DWI charge after driving under the influence in the Town of Southeast, according to the Putnam Sheriff. Three motorists are facing DWI charges after a series of Putnam County traffic stops, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. A Putnam County deputy allegedly observed a driver commit a traffic infraction on Danbury Road in the Town of Southeast on Saturday, March 30 around 12:30 a.m. After initiating a vehicle stop, the deputy noticed that the driver, identified as 21-year-old Garrett Whelton-Pane of Bethel, appeared to be intoxicated, police say. A woman wanted in Putnam County attempted to pull a fast one on members of the Sheriff’s Office after being busted with drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on I-684, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. announced. A Danbury motorist is facing DWI charges after a Putnam deputy sheriff allegedly found him sleeping in his vehicle. The officer observed a stopped vehicle with its engine running near the intersection of State Route 312 and Independent Way in the Town of Southeast Saturday, Feb. 2 around 2:30 a.m., Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. A woman from Danbury became combative during a traffic stop on Route 22, allegedly striking a Putnam County Sheriff’s Sergeant attempting to take her into custody. A Sheriff’s Deputy stopped Danbury resident Ronald Rodas-Loor, 22, shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19 on Route 22 in Southeast, when he was spotted committing a violation. During the stop, while speaking with Rodas-Loor, it was determined that he was allegedly intoxicated and he was arrested. Man, 21, Nabbed In Two Area Burglaries Stole $8K In Cash, Police Say
A 21-year-old is behind bars after state police say he burglarized two residences in the area, stealing thousands of dollars in cash. Troopers responded to Allview Avenue in the Town of Southeast on Saturday, May 12 to help a victim reporting a residential burglary. Investigators found Sergio O. Soto Miguel of Brewster had committed two burglaries in the area, and stole more than $8,000 in U.S. currency. Two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed in the Town of Southeast ended with one of the drivers behind bars for stealing items from unlocked vehicles. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that after one of their officers spotted the two speeding cars on March 4 around 2:45 a.m., it took help from the New York State Police and the Brewster Police Department before both were stopped and a 20-year-old Danbury resident was in cuffs. A wanted fugitive from justice was nabbed by Putnam County Sheriff's deputies during a routine traffic stop in the Town of Southeast, according to Putnam County Sheriff Robert L.
