Man Accused Of Stealing Fairfield County Resident's ID To Open Accounts A 22-year-old man surrendered on a warrant in Fairfield County for allegedly stealing a person's identity to open up accounts for credit cards and cell phones. The New Cannaan Police Department said Angel Arroyo, of Saint Cloud, Florida, located just south of Orlando, surrendered himself to police on an active warrant on Thursday, Aug. 12.  NCPD said investigators determined Arroyo was responsible for the identity theft, which was reported to police on Jan. 29.  He is facing several charges, including third-degree identity theft.  His court appearance was set for the same d…

Man Steals Credit Cards, Makes Purchases While Working In Wilton, Police Say A man who was working in Wilton is accused of stealing credit cards and then making purchases with them. Last October, a victim reported that a wallet had been stolen from their a while working at a residence on Chessor Lane, said the report. A police investigation revealed that the victim's credit cards were later fraudulently used at several merchants in the North Haven and Meriden, according to police.
