A Derby man will spend more than 11 years in federal prison for a disturbing child exploitation case — his third conviction involving children — and violations of his supervised release, federal authorities said. Michael Szwarc, 36, was sentenced to 134 months of imprisonment, along with 25 years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney for Connecticut said. Norwalk Man On Federal Supervised Release Sentenced For Possessing Gun
A convict from Fairfield County is heading back to prison for violating conditions of his supervised release by possessing an illegal weapon and crack cocaine. Sentrell Bookhardt, also known as “Scab,” 33, of Norwalk was sentenced in Bridgeport district court to 84 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release for illegally possessing a firearm and violating the conditions of his supervised release from a prior federal conviction. A convicted felon in Connecticut is heading back to prison after being busted with an illegal, stolen weapon and selling drugs. In October 2008, New London resident James Bowers was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by eight years of supervised release after being found guilty of possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
