Here's How Many Are Still Without Power Two Days After Rain, Wind Storm
More than 1,000 Connecticut residents are still without power two days after a series of storms ripped through the region, flooding the area, downing trees and power lines.
As of just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, about 48 hours after the storms began, Eversource was still working to repair outages that continue to impact 1,035 of its 1,279,556 customers. United Illuminating was also still working on one outage in Woodbridge that was affecting three customers.

New Fairfield Public Schools To Reopen On Wednesday
With crews continuing to work around the clock to clean up from last week’s storm that uprooted trees and downed utility lines, schools in New Fairfield are set to reopen on Wednesday after being forced to shutter its doors for five days.
As of 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, more than a week after the storm struck, 1,244 of Eversource’s 1,270,056 customers remained without power, including 410 in New Fairfield.

Some Customers Could Be Without Power For Days, Eversource Says
As the recovery from Tuesday's storm continues, Eversource officials are reporting it has restored power to 75,000 customers statewide, but thousands more could expect to be out of power for at least a couple more days, officials said. The overwhelming majority of such cases will be in Northern Fairfield County, which was hit hardest.
Mobility seems to be the biggest issues in restoration, said Frank Poirot, spokesman for Eversource.
