Alert Issued After Vicious Dog Attack In New Canaan New Canaan Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of what they described as a "vicious" off-leash dog that attacked and severely wounded a small dog last week. The attack took place in the back of South School, near Crystal Street, at about 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, when a shepherd-type dog who was unleashed at the time, attacked an on-leash mini-golden doodle, causing serious damage, said Officer Allyson Halm, head of the New Canaan Police Department’s Animal Control Unit.   Halm said the man and woman with the attacker dog declined to provide any…
