Hundreds Lose Power In Southern Norwalk Hundreds are reporting power outages in Norwalk early on Thursday afternoon. South Norwalk Electric and Water is working on repairing outages to approximately 400 customers in Norwalk, mostly on Connecticut Avenue, with an estimated time of restoration no later than approximately 1 p.m.  Additionally, as of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 633 of Eversource’s 1,270,384 customers were reporting that they were in the dark. Person Poses As Utility Company Employee In Fairfield County Scam Officials are warning homeowners to be wary following reports of a scammer making the rounds in the city posing as a South Norwalk Electric and Water employee. An alert was issued this week from the company after a Norwalk resident notified them that someone claiming to be an employee from South Norwalk Electric and Water threatened to shut off the power to their without the payment of a large sum of money.
