Alex Jones' InfoWars Up For Auction To Pay Sandy Hook Victims' Families: Report
The tools Alex Jones used to build his conspiracy theory and supplement-hawking empire could soon be yours, NPR reported. A court-appointed trustee will soon begin to auction off pieces of Free Speech Systems, the parent company of InfoWars, to pay back the families of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting victims, the report continued. Jones owes them $1.5 billion in a defamation judgment after he claimed the massacre, which killed 26 people — 20 of them children – was a hoax. The trustee will sell everything from chairs and production equipment to the InfoWars brand name, th…

Far-right radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been ordered by a Connecticut jury to pay nearly $1 billion to the families of students killed in the December 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown. In a unanimous decision Wednesday, Oct. 12, the jury said the Infowars founder must dole out $965 million in damages to eight families of students killed, as well as an FBI agent, for repeatedly claiming that the school massacre in December 2012, which killed 20 students and six staff members, was a hoax carried out by “crisis actors.” Earlier Report: Alex Jones Order…

Flags At Half-Mast In Honor Of Local School-Shooting Victims
American flags across Connecticut will be flown at half-mast on Monday, Dec. 14. By order of Gov. Ned Lamont, U.S. flags will be lowered in honor and remembrance of the 20 children and 6 adults who were killed eight years ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. Flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset. As no other flag should fly higher than the U.S., all other flags should be lowered as well, Lamont said in a press release. “The memories of the twenty young children and six educators whose lives were tragically taken on that horrible morning eight years ago will forever remai…

19: Fairfield County State Senate Candidate's Tweet On Healthcare Workers Sparks Backlash
A school advocate and State Senate hopeful from Fairfield County is facing backlash after firing off an unpopular tweet about healthcare workers amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. JT Lewis, who lost his younger brother in the Sandy Hook shooting, was criticized on social media after stating that the pandemic is what the healthcare workers “signed up for.” “Unpopular take: didn’t nurses and doctors sign up for this? I have respect for the great job they’re doing but this is exactly what they signed up for,” Lewis posted in a since-deleted tweet on Tuesday, April 21. JT Lewi…

Alex Jones Must Give Sworn Deposition In Sandy Hook Suit, Judge Says
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones will have to submit to a sworn deposition as part of a defamation lawsuit that was filed by families of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims, a judge in Bridgeport ruled. Ten families are pursuing lawsuits against Jones for allegedly spreading lies about the shooting, going so far as to call it a plot orchestrated by family members. The New York Times reported last week that the families won several decisive victories in their lawsuit that will force Jones to open his business records and speak with prosecutors under oath. Jones, the owner of Infow…
