I-95, Route 8/25 Stolen Car Chase Starts After Suspect Nearly Hits Cop A chase of a stolen vehicle on Route 8/25 and I-95 in Fairfield County started when one of the two suspects nearly hit an officer, police say. At about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, officers were sent to a call regarding a suspicious car off of Madison Avenue in Bridgeport. When they approached the car, it took off on them, nearly striking an officer, according to Bridgeport Police. Bridgeport Police then engaged in the pursuit, eventually going southbound on Route 8/25 to northbound I-95.
