A 45-year-old Fairfield County man faces drunk driving charges after authorities found him driving a disabled car at a busy Northern Westchester intersection, police announced. Stamford resident Phillip Walsh was arrested for DWI in connection with an incident in Yorktown on Saturday, March 2, Yorktown Police announced on Tuesday, March 12. New Bear Sighting Reported: This One In Brewster
Bears, bears, everywhere. Or so it seems. Around noon Friday Yorktown police warned of a bear up a tree which prompted Sonia Gelbart to post photos of another bear (or maybe the same, who knows?) she spotted in her Brewster backyard last week. Another reader said the Yorktown bear had climbed down its tree and was now by Jennifer's Restaurant near Route 118.
