Pair Of Bears Spotted Near North Salem Intersection: Here's Where Two black bears were seen together at an intersection in Northern Westchester, officials announced. The duo was seen by the intersection of Route 116 and Route 121 on Old Salem Center Road in North Salem, Supervisor Warren Lucas announced on Thursday, Oct. 12 around 4:15 p.m.  Authorities were notified about the animals, but Lucas said residents should have no cause for concern.  "The police are aware, please be aware. At this point they weren't bothering anyone," Lucas said.

Fairfield County Woman Threw Hatchet In Domestic Dispute, Police Say A 41-year-old Fairfield County woman is behind bars after New York State Police say she threw a hatchet at a male victim and rammed his vehicle during a domestic dispute in Northern Westchester.
