Prominent Fairfield Eye Doctor Arrested For Sex Assault In Front Of Child, Police Say
A prominent Fairfield eye doctor has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and risk of injury to a child, police said.
Ian Gorovoy, 35, of Fairfield, was arrested Saturday, Jan. 11, and charged after he allegedly had unwanted sexual contact with an adult female victim in the presence of a child, said Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras.
Gorovoy turned himself in at Fairfield Police Headquarters on Saturday where he was processed and released on a no-contact protective order after posting a $150,000 court set bond, Kalamaras said.
Boyfriend Attacks Woman At Stamford Medical Office In Front Of Patients, Police Say
A 44-year-old area man is behind bars after walking into a doctor's office where his girlfriend works and dragging her by her hair and attacking her in front of patients.
The incident took place around 3:25 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, when Dwayne Keel, of Bridgeport, entered the medical office located in the 12- block of High Ridge Road, Stamford Police Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said.

A 43-year-old man was arrested by Connecticut State Police on alleged gun charges after he was handed over by Bridgeport Police where he was wanted for domestic violence.

A man who allegedly fired multiple shots into a Bridgeport home that was occupied by several children, one as young as 7 years old, was nabbed by police at a motel.
Randy Torres, 25, of Bridgeport, was arrested at the Motel 6 in Milford around 11:15 a.m., Monday, July 8, by members of the Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau's General Investigations Unit, Fugitive Task Force, Robbery/Burglary Unit, as well as the United States Marshals Service and Connecticut State Parole, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

Westport Man Faces DUI Charge After Two-Car Crash
A 56-year-old area man was charged with DUI following a two-car crash in which the passenger drove one of the vehicles from the scene.
The incident took place around 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 18, when in the area of 52 Drumlin Road in Westport.
Upon arrival, officers located only one vehicle. The second vehicle, also occupied by two juvenile passengers, was driven from the scene by the adult passenger prior to police arrival, Westport Police said.
