Stamford Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Two-Vehicle Crash A crash between a car and a motorcycle left a 24-year-old Stamford man with life-threatening injuries, marking the city's second serious crash involving a motorcycle in as many days. The collision occurred around 12:19 p.m. Tuesday on High Ridge Rd (Route 137) at Oaklawn Avenue, said Stamford Police Sgt. Motorcyclist Critically Injured Following Crash With Van In Stamford A 22-year-old Stamford man suffered life-threatening injuries during a crash with a van Monday afternoon. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on East Main Street at Quintard Terrace in Stamford, said Sgt. Andrew Gallagher. During the crash, the 2001 Chevrolet Venture van was traveling eastbound on East Main Street turning left onto Quintard Terrace, when it collided with the 2007 Suzuki GSXR 75 motorcycle traveling westbound, Gallagher said.  "Initial indications are that the motorcycle was traveling at an excessive speed," Gallagher said.
