Armed Robbers Hit Post Office In Waccabuc, Police Say Police are investigating an armed robbery of a post office in Northern Westchester.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, around 4:30 p.m., police in Waccabuc responded to the post office located at 2 Post Office Rd. to a reported armed robbery, according to Lewisboro Police.  No injuries were reported from the robbery.  Police were still on the scene as of around 7 p.m., and are still investigating the incident.  Multiple police departments are involved in the investigation.  This is a developing story. Check Stolen From Darien Post Office Mailbox Altered, Cashed For $950, Police Say Police in Darien are investigating the latest report of mail theft involving checks stolen from the Post Office. A Darien resident reported to police on Wednesday, Feb. 6 that on Jan. 13, he had placed three outgoing checks into a mailbox at the Post Office on Corbin Drive. The resident received a notification that week that an attempt to cash one of the checks had been made, but denied. Check Stolen From Mailbox Cashed For $334, Darien Police Say A Darien resident reported to police that a check she had placed in a mailbox had been cashed by someone besides the recipient, costing the victim hundreds of dollars. The incident took place on Saturday, Dec. 15, when the woman told officers she had placed outgoing payment in the mailbox located at the Post Office at 30 Corbin Drive in early November, said Darien Det.
