Connecticut's Minimum Wage To Take Effect In Days
Connecticut's minimum wage is set to increase to $13 soon, as the state progresses toward a $15 minimum wage. Beginning Sunday, Aug. 1, the minimum wage will increase from $12 per hour to $13 per hour. The legislation was signed into law by Gov. After debating for the better part of a full day, Connecticut lawmakers have passed legislation that will incrementally increase the state’s minimum wage until it reaches $15 an hour by 2023. For approximately 14 hours, beginning Wednesday night before being approved around noon on Thursday, May 9, members of the state’s House of Representatives debated the merits of the bill before passing it.
