Beloved Teacher ID'd As Fairfield County Fatality In Storm
A beloved Northern Westchester art teacher has been identified as one of the two Fairfield County residents killed during Tuesday's powerful storms that left a swath of destruction across the region. Lauren Svendsen, 41, died when a tree fell on her car in New Fairfield around 5 p.m., on Brush Hill Road. Her 3-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle but was not injured, reported Connecticut State Trooper Sgt. Eric Haglund on Wednesday. Danbury Native John Storti Dies At 25
Danbury native John J. Storti died on Sunday, March 18. He was 25 years old. John had been living in Walden and was a carpenter for Local 279 in Newburgh. He loved exploring adventures and being with his son and family. He is survived by his parents, Mark Storti, Tracy Gida and her husband James Walden; son Kane Storti and his mother Cassandra Rodriguez; brother Eli Gida; sisters Brooke Storti and Rylee Storti; aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.

Four Charged In Sex Trafficking Ring That Included CT Hotels, Motels
A Westchester resident is among four men facing charges for their roles in allegedly trafficking women for sex in multiple states. Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District announced the arrest of the four on Tuesday, including 49-year-old Bronxville resident Guixia Wu “stemming from a conspiracy to engage in the interstate trafficking of women, primarily Chinese nationals, for the purpose of prostitution."
