Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Crash Near Border Of Fairfield, Westchester Counties Police are investigating after a New York State trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight. It happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties in the village of Port Chester. A marked state police car was parked on the shoulder of I-95 on the southbound side in the area of mile marker 14.9 when an unknown vehicle struck the trooper who was walking back to the patrol car after removing debris from the roadway, according to NY State Police.  The trooper was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment, according to pol…

Home Burglary, Larcenies Under Investigation In Lewisboro A Northern Westchester police chief is warning residents of a recent home burglary and numerous vehicle larcenies. The home burglary took place around 7 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 12, on Brundige Drive in the Goldens Bridge section of town, said Lewisboro Police Chief David Alfano. According to the chief, a Lewisboro officer responded to a burglary alarm notice and when he arrived at the residence, found a broken back sliding glass door and muddy footprints leading inside. The officer called for backup and a New York State trooper responded, as well as a K-9 unit and several officers.  …

CT Man Seriously Injured In I-84 Crash A 62-year-old man is in serious condition following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84. The crash took place around noon., Sunday, June 23, after Michael Gasper, of Windsor, Connecticut, lost control of his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle while traveling westbound in East Fishkill and was ejected onto the roadway, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.  Gasper, who suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center following the crash, Hicks said. ID Released For Woman Killed In I-287 Crash An area woman was killed after slamming into the back of a parked construction vehicle on I-287. Patricia Jimenez-Gaylor, 49, of Mamaroneck, was killed around 1:27 a.m. Monday during a three-vehicle crash, said New York State Trooper Michael Cassella. Three Injured In Route 6 Head-On Crash Involving Car, SUV, Box Truck Three people received non-life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash on Route 6 in Somers that shut down traffic for almost two hours. The crash, which included a car, an SUV, and a box truck, happened shortly before 7 a.m. Friday near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border. Three people were cared for and transported to Westchester Medical Center by the Somers Fire Department, the fire department said.
