The fire occurred in New Canaan on White Shade Oak Lane around 11:40 p.m., Monday, April 8. Driver Extricated After Tree Falls On Pickup Truck In New Canaan New Cannan firefighters were able to save a pickup truck driver after a tree fell right on his windshield, trapping him in the vehicle.The incident happened around 3 p.m., March 2 when the driver was on Canoe Hill Road, said New Cannan Fire Chief Jack Hennessey.
