Enormous Brush Fire Breaks Out Over 12 Acres In Goldens Bridge
Firefighters from multiple municipalities teamed up to battle an aggressive brush fire that broke out in Northern Westchester Wednesday night, April 3, The blaze occurred along the northern side of Todd Road in the Lewisboro hamlet of Golden Bridge and damaged an estimated 12 acres of wetlands, according to Goldens Bridge Fire Chief James McManus. DeCicco & Sons Markets announced that it will be fully eliminating the single-use plastic bags in all seven of their stores within the next seven days. Twister With 110 MPH Winds Confirmed In Northern Westchester
A second tornado has been confirmed to have touched down in the Hudson Valley during Tuesday's severe storms that swept through the area in the late afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service said Wednesday afternoon that an EF1 twister touched down in Northern Westchester at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday in New Castle and lasted approximately 11 minutes, covering 3.75 miles.
