Man Who Ripped Off Medicaid While Employed With Greenwich Police Avoids Jail A Fairfield County man who was working as a police officer has avoided jail for Medicaid fraud but must repay monies stolen. Chief State’s Attorney Patrick J. Griffin Friday, said on Friday, Jan. 5 that  Michael Mastronardi, age 49, of Shelton, was sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to one count of cruelty to persons. Greenwich Police Officer Accused Of Ripping Off $57K From Medicaid A Greenwich police officer has been placed on administrative leave after the department learned he was part of an ongoing criminal investigation. Meet Bridgeport Hospital's First Baby Of 2018 BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – It's a boy! Lisa and Michael Mastronardi of Shelton welcomed a new son on Monday morning. And making his birth even more special:  Nico Anthony Mastronardi is the first baby born at Bridgeport Hospital in 2018.  He is the second child of Lisa and Michael Mastronardi, joining 2-year- old big brother Luca. Nico weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces when he arrived at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1. He was delivered by Dr. Marina Torbey. Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is a 383-bed acute care hospital serving parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties.
