Man Driving 100-Plus MPH In Fairfield County Caught With Drugs, Police Say
State Police nabbed a 21-year-old man with pot after he was allegedly clocked traveling more than 100 miles an hour on Route 8 in Shelton. Matthew Santiago of Ansonia was arrested Wednesday, March 13, after Connecticut State Trooper Ryan Burke and his partner K9 Cezar were checking for speeders on Route 8 when Santiago went flying by, the state police said. A check of his speed showed he was traveling at 106 miles per hour.
