Woman Struck, Killed By Car In Fairfield County A local woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fairfield County. It happened just after 5 p.m., Nov. 20 in Trumbull. The pedestrian, Lisa Cimmino, age 57, of Trumbull, was walking on Canoe Brook Road near Madison Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle, causing serious life-threatening injuries, Trumbull Police said. Driver Loses Control, Striking Curb, Pole In Trumbull A utility pole and lawn received damage after a driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident took place around 9:50 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, on Madison Avenue in Trumbull, said Trumbull Police Lt. Brian Weir. According to Weir, a vehicle was traveling north on Madison Avenue when the vehicle struck the curb on the right side of the road, then swerved across Madison Avenue where it struck a utility pole.  There was pole and lawn damage sustained, he said. No injuries were reported and medical attention was refused.
