Winning $1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Georgetown Still Unclaimed Lottery officials are asking players to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winner of a winning $1 million Powerball ticket purchased in May before it expires next month. The winning ticket holder, which was sold at the Georgetown Shell in Wilton, has 31 days left to claim the prize, after Oct. 31, the money goes to the state's General Fund, and is gone forever.
