Wilton Man Wins $100K In State Lottery
Connecticut Lottery has announced a number of big winners, including a Fairfield County resident who won a $100,000 prize.
Jeffrey Riecker, of Wilton, won the $100,000 "200X 2nd Edition" prize from a ticket purchased at A-Z Variety And Cigars in Norwalk, the CT Lottery announced on Friday, Oct. 28.

CT Man Accused Of Operating Drug Factory After Fentanyl, Meth Found In Vehicle, Police Say
A Connecticut man is facing felony charges after police said he was found in possession of drugs, including fentanyl, mushrooms, and methamphetamine.
Troopers responded in New London County to a report of a suspicious person and vehicle in the parking lot of Ulta on River Road in Lisbon at about 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, according to Connecticut State Police.
Authorities made contact with 42-year-old Michael Bienvenu, of Norwich, and saw narcotics within the passenger compartment of the vehicle, police said.

As many elections, including the one for president, are still being counted, Connecticut hasn't quite finished tallying all its ballots, but it seems likely the state will remain blue
As of Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 8 a.m., 85 percent of the votes for president cast in Connecticut had been counted. As was anticipated, challenger Democrat Joe Biden has the current majority vote for president.
Biden has won 58.5% of the vote with more than 928,131 ballots cast in his favor.

COVID-19 infections are congregating in the eastern part of the state where there is a cluster of 13 “red” communities with high daily infection rates, according to Connecticut data that came out Thursday, Oct. 29.

Early voting results indicate that a man who was arrested and then dropped out of the primary election for Congressional Second District could win the nomination.
As of Wednesday, Aug. 12, morning, Republican Thomas Gilmer, who had dropped out of the race on Monday, Aug. 10, was leading Justin Anderson by just a handful of votes:
