Man Pulls Out Gun During Soccer Game In Fairfield County, Police Say A man has been arrested after allegedly pulling a gun at a crowded Fairfield County park following a dispute at a soccer game. The incident took place in Stamford around 9:15 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Lione Park on the city's West Side. Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin said officers responded to the "very crowded" park on a report that a man had pulled a gun following an argument at one of two large organized soccer games taking place. Suspect Charged In Stamford Park Stabbing A Stamford man who was nabbed by police for stabbing another man in Lione Park Tuesday night was also wanted for pending drug and domestic violence cases.  Evans “Indian” Powell, 26, had been charged with assault and carrying a dangerous weapon for stabbing another man in the neck and back because he owed him $20 bucks for drugs, according to the arrest affidavit. The victim, who is listed in stable condition, according to police, said the fight got out of hand when he saw Powell had a knife and he grabbed a wrench to protect himself.
