Fairfield County Man Charged For Failing To Plant Trees, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly taking $13,000 to buy and plant trees he never bought or planted.  Joseph Esposito Jr. age 53, of Redding, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 15 by Westport Police and charged with larceny. According to Lieutenant David Wolf, of the Westport Police, Esposito was arrested after the department received a complaint that he had taken $13,000 in November 2021 from a Westport resident to buy and plant trees. Four Vehicles Stolen, One House Burglarized In Fairfield County Four vehicles were stolen and a home burglarized in Fairfield County overnight. The first incident was reported around 6 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20 when officers responded to a home in Westport in the Compo Beach area of town. Fairfield County Man Nabbed With Child Porn, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly having a large amount of child pornography on his home and work computers. Michael Newman, age 65, of Westport, turned himself in to Westport Police on Friday, May 21, for a case that began in December 2020, said Lieutenant David Wolf.
