CT Man Uses Forged Checks To Spend $5K At Costco, Police Say
A 31-year-old Connecticut man was nabbed for allegedly using several forged checks to spend $5,000 at Costco, police say.
Daniel H. Falvey, age 31, of East Hartford, was charged on Thursday, March 28, on an active warrant and charged with larceny and issuing a bad check.
According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Falvey's arrest stems from a January investigation in which police found he used several forged checks from an East Hartford business to purchase the items at Costco.

Stamford Woman Arrested On Bad Check Charge
A Fairfield County woman was arrested for allegedly issuing a bad check to an area business.
Kecia Fields, 47, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 14, on a warrant for an incident that took place in April of last year, Greenwich Police said.
She was charged with conspiracy, forgery, issuing a bad check and larceny and is being held on $150,000 bond.
Fields is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Nov. 29.
Man Taken Into Custody For Writing Bad $5K Check In Westport
A Fairfield County man who was wanted for writing a bad $5,000 check to a Westport resident was tracked down by police over the weekend and taken into custody.
An investigation was launched late last year, when Cheshire resident Jonathan Martin, 36, allegedly wrote a Westport resident the bad check, and after several unsuccessful attempts to collect the monies due, Martin’s victim filed a police report on Oct. 6 last year, which led to a warrant for his arrest.
