A 32-year-old man was accused of driving under the influence after police said his vehicle was found partially blocking a Fairfield County roadway. An officer saw a vehicle parked and partially blocking Lapham Road in New Canaan at about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, the New Canaan Police Department reported. Police said the officer spoke to the driver, identified as Jacob Iorfino, of Stamford, and detected signs of impairment. A man whose license was suspended is accused of resisting arrest after a traffic stop in Fairfield County, according to police. Man Charged With DUI After Driving Into Active Work Zone In Fairfield County, Police Say
A driver was allegedly intoxicated when he intentionally disobeyed traffic signs and drove through an active work zone in Fairfield County, police said. Connecticut State Police were forced to use stop sticks to apprehend a motorist who took officers on a wild ride on Route 15. Members of the Wilton Police Department attempted to stop a Honda, driven by local resident Ijebol Holmes, on the Merritt Parkway at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning, when he sped away near the northbound exit 42 in Westport, state police said.
