5 Nabbed In Special Bridgeport Operation To Reduce Crime, One Still On Run, Police Say Five Connecticut residents have been charged, and one is on the run in connection with a triple shooting in which more than 40 shots were fired earlier this year. The incident occurred in Fairfield County in Bridgeport on Tuesday, Aug. 22, on Park Avenue. The arrests are part of a month-long investigation named "Operation Take Back Park Avenue," after numerous shootings and one stabbing resulted in two homicides in that same area between May and September of this year, Capt. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in New Haven County at about 4:30 p.m. on May 27, according to the Hamden Police Department.
