Airman Who Grew Up In Fairfield County Killed In Crash
A U.S. Airman from Bridgeport who died in a multiple-vehicle crash in Idaho will be remembered Sunday, July 1.
Lawrence Manlapit III, 29, the son of Lawrence Manlapit, Jr. and Dorine Norko, who is a transportation specialist for the Bridgeport public schools, was killed June 16 in a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 outside of Boise, Idaho, said the Idaho State Police.
Two other airmen and a truck driver were also killed in the crash, police said.

Connecticut ranked 44th nationally in income growth in 2017, an annual increase of just 1.5 percent.In contrast, New York and New Jersey reported annual personal income growth of 2.5 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis said.
