The life-saving effort in Fairfield County took place on Friday, Dec. 18 in Easton,, during the evening, when officer Anthony Telesco was flagged down by a man who told him his dog had fallen through the ice of Keller’s Pond, near the Helen Keller Middle School, authorities said. Firefighters Rescue Six From Pond After Falling Through Ice Six people were rescued from an icy pond after falling through thin ice. The incident took place around 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, at Burr Mountain Pond in Torrington, said the Torrington Fire Department. According to the department, five ice anglers had fallen through the ice or were stuck on the ice. An additional bystander also got stuck on the ice when they attempted to help.
