The incident took place around 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, at Burr Mountain Pond in Torrington, said the Torrington Fire Department. According to the department, five ice anglers had fallen through the ice or were stuck on the ice. An additional bystander also got stuck on the ice when they attempted to help.
