Margot Cantrall, 82, Of Danbury: Chemist, Accomplished Singer Margot (Benz) Cantrall, 82, died on March 22 in Danbury Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in New York City on August 21, 1937 to Max and Louise (Steudle) Benz, who emigrated from Germany in the 1920s. Margot grew up in the Pelham Bay area of the Bronx and attended both Hunter High School and Hunter College, graduating with a BA in Chemistry in 1959. That same year she joined Lederle Laboratories — part of American Cyanamid, where she met her future husband, Edward Cantrall, also a chemist. Johnathan Malizia Of New Canaan Dies At 32 Johnathan M. Malizia, a longtime resident of New Canaan, died on Tuesday, March 12 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 32. He was born in Stamford on October 29, 1986, the son of Kenneth and Maureen Winters Malizia of New Canaan. He graduated from New Canaan High School in 2004 and began working for his father’s local cleaning business. Longtime New Canaan Firefighter Angelo Gesualdi Dies At 75 Angelo John Gesualdi a lifetime resident of New Canaan and longtime firefighter, died Saturday of a heart attack with his family by his side.  He was 75. Gesualdi was born on May 16, 1943, in Stamford to the late Vito and Vera Coco Gesualdi. He was a firefighter with the New Canaan Fire Department for 34 years and was ranked as a Captain of the department. During his retirement, Gesualdi loved to start his mornings with his firehouse family and greeting each day “uptown,” seeing friends and keeping up with the community.
