CT Man Admits To Violating Federal Sex Offender Registration, Notification Act A Connecticut man has pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to register as a sex offender. New Haven County resident Christopher Poskus, age 47, of Waterbury, pleaded guilty to the charges on Thursday, Oct. 14, according to Leonard Boyle, acting United States attorney for the District of Connecticut. The Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act requires sex offenders to register and keep their registration current in the jurisdictions where they live, work or go to school. Following a hearing this week in Bridgeport Superior Court, a judge allowed James Taylor, 75, to be released from custody under the condition that he lives with his son Chris Taylor, a member of the Bridgeport Board of Education. Taylor was arrested in February after he allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife. Dionna Silas, 24, of Bridgeport, was caught on Main and Fairview Avenue sitting in a running car after midnight shift Officer Phil Norris checked out the car and discovered the wanted woman who originally gave officers a fake ID, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
