Eversource is readying hundreds of crews ahead of a storm that is expected to bring damaging winds and heavy rain to Connecticut just before the holiday weekend. With a record number of Americans hitting the road to celebrate the Fourth of July, motorists are seeing an uptick in prices at the pump. After weeks of seeing declining prices at gas pumps nationwide, AAA is reporting that on average, they’ve risen more than a nickel in advance of the holiday, which will see more travelers than ever.
