Ned Lamont made the announcement late Wednesday afternoon, June 3 while also looking ahead to what the fall semester could look like. Those ceremonies may start on or after Monday, July 6. "We're letting school districts know that they can begin holding in-person graduation ceremonies beginning July 6, following certain health and safety protocols," Lamont said. Covid-19: North Salem HS Drive-In Graduation Ceremony Getting Attention A unique "social distancing" plan for a Class of 2020 high school graduation is drawing attention amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. North Salem High School in Northern Westchester announced through a much-anticipated YouTube video that graduation will be held "quarantine style" at a drive-in theater.
