Trio Nabbed After Robbery Spree Targeting CT Stores Statewide Three Connecticut men have been charged with committing at least eight robberies of convenience and smoke shops across the state earlier this year. Woman Stabbed After Fight Breaks Out Following Crash At Danbury Gas Station A woman was stabbed in the eye during a fight following a traffic crash at an area gas station. Police were called Thursday to the Food Bag, 90 West St., Danbury for a motor vehicle accident with injuries, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. Police Arrest Bethel Man Found With Damaged, Bloody Car At Gas Station BETHEL, Conn. — A 32-year-old Bethel man was arrested just after midnight on New Year's Day after he was found drunk and driving a damaged car with blood on it at a gas station, police said.   Officers were called to the Food Bag at 77 Greenwood Ave. at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1, police said.  They found the driver — identified as Matthew Mistal of 40 Linda Lane — who said he had "hit something on Payne Road" but did not report it, police said.  Police later determined that he had hit a guardrail. The blood on the vehicle was determined to be Mistal's, police said.
