A man who authorities in New York say robbed a bank while dressed as a woman has been apprehended. The incident happened on Long Island around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in Commack. The man entered Teachers Federal Credit Union, located at 10 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, and handed a teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. Husband Charged With Murder After Body Of Missing NY Mother Of Four Found
The husband of a New York mother of four who had been missing for nearly three weeks has been charged with murder after the woman's body was found. Long Island resident Melissa Molinari, age 38, was reported missing by friends and family on Thursday, Dec. 2. She had last been seen leaving her Centereach residence on Lolly Lane on Sunday, Nov. 21, according to police, On Thursday, Dec. 9, Suffolk County Police say her body was found about 10 miles away in Middle Island. Three Apprehended After Shooting Outside NY Supermarket
This story has been updated. Three men were arrested following a shooting outside a Long Island supermarket. Following a verbal altercation, two men shot each other in the parking lot of Lidl Supermarket, located at 812 Montauk Highway in Center Moriches, at approximately 4:05 p.m. Sunday, July 18, Suffolk County Police said. A female high school mathematics teacher on Long Island has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Special Victims Section detectives, Veronica Pezdan, age 28, of Holbrook, was pulled over and arrested on southbound William Floyd Parkway after she left Shoreham-Wading River High School at approximately 11 a.m. Monday, April 19. Update: The man who took his 6-month-old son without permission on Long Island, leading to an AMBER Alert being issued, has been apprehended. Bryan Quinteros, 19, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 19 following the abduction in Deer Park on Wednesday, Sept. 18, Suffolk County Police said.
