A Fairfield County man is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV while crossing a busy roadway in inclement weather. The collision took place in Stamford around 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9 on West Main Street near Fairfield Avenue. A 2013 Nissan Rogue, being driven by a 73-year-old Stamford resident was traveling eastbound on West Main Street, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police. Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man they believe may be involved in two fires. Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, said the department is working to identify the man who was caught on surveillance near two fires on Thursday, Sept. 29. An early-morning fire broke out at a multifamily residence in Fairfield County. Firefighters received reports of the blaze in Stamford on Fairfield Avenue at about 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a large fire that extended from all three floors to an attic of the residence, the Stamford Fire Department said. A firefighter was injured and a family of five displaced during a large house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out in Stamford around 5 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29 on Fairfield Avenue on the city's west side. A Stamford man is currently in custody on a million-dollar bond and facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly shot into a moving vehicle from the sidewalk, sending two passengers to the hospital. A fire that began in a bedroom devastated a waterside home in Stamford, officials said. Stamford Fire Department say they responded at 5:41 p.m. Thursday, May 23 to a report of a house fire at 513 Fairfield Avenue. A domestic dispute turned horribly wrong after a woman jumped out of a car in an effort to escape her husband who had attacked and forced her into a vehicle, according to Stamford Police. Sgt.
